Just a quick report from down in Tassie where the weather is cold and the bream are big! After what seem like an eternity I finally managed to get away for a day on the water chasing a few of tassie’s bruiser bream. It was the first time I have really given the NEW Berkley 3B cranks a good swim.
A couple of points which may be of interest to anyone looking at giving these lures a run: While I haven’t spent a lot of time using them (probably 18 hours on water) I’m happy to report every lure has swam straight and true with no tuning required out of the packet! Secondly, they all work….! Well almost… I hooked fish on every single style other than the shallow running fatdog, in fairness I didn’t actually put one on! Ha ha Slack I know…!
The word from Berkley is the colour range will expand over time. I’d have to say my favourite is the “hooch” colour (no surprise there!) although many of the other colours worked well also. Check out the pics below to see some of the quality fish that have already shown a liking to the all Berkley 3B cranks.
As a side note I also gave some Cultiva hard bodies a run later in the day… The finish on the lures is first class and they are also top fish catches too! Some of the styles that landed fish include the mira shad 50, rippin minnow 65 and 70mm. As the is only limited space here feel free to visit my photo bucket account which has a few more pics to get your casting arm twitching: http://s1007.photobucket.com/albums/af192/Patrick_Sullivan/Pure%20Fishing/
