MF40 update

Thursday last was an outdoors office day! Michael Guest, Marc Huisken and I travelled up to Lake St Clair with a few [the only 7 in captivity] Mf40′s in hand and some well respected Bass lures to use as control baits.

Awesome weather, bar around 1016 but quite cool. The Lake has risen quite some metres and islands are appearing where kangaroos once grazed. Clear water and a slow bite over the 2.5 hours we were there.

Long story short, fishing the grass verges that have recently been covered we had seven strikes boated five bass and all were on the MF40. The control lures accounted for zero activity.

I’m thinking a lot more outdoor office days are required!
