More Toys for the Boys

Over the last twelve to eighteen months, the ABU brand has seen some very good ne products added to both the spin rel and baitcaster ranges.

Notably, the Revo low profile baitcast reels have found a solid following as a reliable, high perormance baitcast reel for everything from bas and yellowbelly fishing through to barra and bigger.

Attached is the latest Limited Edition series reels about to land. Thes two reels were spec’d in Japan, the home of everything awesome in fishing tackle these days.

The Aorora [rainbow] model features Hi-D EVA paddle grips, bowed handle and star wheel with click, ported lightweight spool running on special long spin bearings, lightweigh frame, titanium depsosition rainbow coating on the sideplates [very hard] thumb-bar cast, 7.1:1 hi-speed ratio, rulon super smooth drag, and 9+1 bearings. Casting is controlled by way of an external dial on the left side plate that adjusts the linear magnetic brake system within the reel.

The Akatsuki [gold] version features Hi-D Eva paddle grips, bowed handle and star wheel with click, ported lightweight spool running on long spin bearings, lithweight frame, titanium depsosition gold finish, 7.1:1 hi-speed ratio, rulon super drag, 9+1 bearings. Casting is controlled on this reel by way of selectable brake blocks within the left side of the reel.

Coarse casting control on both reels is by way of the usual right side spool control knob.

These reels are not cheap and you will be looking at $500 or more when they arrive.

If good looks, exceptional performance and something a little left of centre in a lightweight package is what you are looking for, jump in to your local tackle store and ask them to earmark one of the awesome reels. They are limited in production, first in best dressed.
