New GULP "Prawns"

Anglers are always asking what’s new in fishing tackle and the flavour of the month is the Gulp range of baits.

New colour ideas are always being worked on and after the success of the “Chicken” range of Jerkshads in 2008, the bait team at Purefishing Australia has come out with a new line up of “Prawns” for 2009.

In late 2008 we released two of the new colours being Banana prawn and Peppered prawn. The first two events they were fished in resulted in wins on the Banana prawn and sales have boomed ever since.
Here is a sneak preview of four new colours that will be available around April 2009.

The new range will be [from the top] Garlic prawn, Green Prawn, Tiger prawn and Cocktail prawn. There will also be another colour known as Jelly prawn which will look like the Garlic version but with black pepper spots through it.

The 2″ and 3″ Gulp shrimp bait will be first bait out in these new colours.

Test fishing has been conducted and results to date have been good to excellent. The darker Tiger prawn has worked well in deep water, while the lighter colours have been great in shallow clear conditions.

Look for these new baits soon.
