Andrew McGovern

Andrew McGovern first started fishing when his Dad had him casting spinners for trout, yellowbelly and silver perch in the early 70s.  He spent most of his teens and twenties land based game fishing off the rocks while breaking it up with sessions on the beach and trips to the Snowy mountains chasing trout.  He had his first article published in 1997 and has been a regular contributor to several of Australia’s leading glossy magazines since. He specialises in lurecasting for natives, light tackle prospecting for trout, all forms of beach fishing, and southern estuary soft plastic work.
