With the addition of the NEW 50 size, ideal for inshore sportsfishing, the Arbor series has been upgraded to include XCR sealed bearings in key locations and a matt black finish for extra corrosion resistance.

Designed for braided and fluorocarbon lines, the Arbor delivers superior line management through a combination of large spool diameter and short oscillation stroke. The larger spool diameter means that the line has less wraps around the arbor for a given distance when compared to traditional spinning reels, which allows less coils and a lot less line twist. The short oscillation stroke means less loose loops and therefore less wind knots. Short oscillation stroke gives the advantage of controlling the problem of “dropping loops” especially when fishing plastics with slack line techniques.

Frame:

The frame uses the hybrid aluminium body system, which combines an aluminium stem, with a graphite frame and aluminium sideplate. This gives the angler a reel that has the lighter weight of a graphite reel, but with the strength of an aluminium reel. Basically this system eliminates stem flex from your traditional graphite reels. The aluminium sections are constructed out of A360 which are corrosion resistant aluminium alloy.

Drag:

• Carbon fiber drag washers are used to give smooth even drag performance even under heavy loads and hard running fish. Carbon has a lot of advantages over traditional oil/felt:
• Durability they are a lot longer lasting
• Perform under high pressure do not fade or overheat like oil/felt
• Consistent give very consistent drag pressure throughout the drag range
• Start up inertia have low start up drag inertia when compared to other drag materials
